How to renew or reserve materials
Patrons can stop by the library in person or call the library during regular business hours, 573-324-5030. There is an after hours drop box located next to the front door to return materials when the library is closed.
Books can be checked out for 2 weeks
DVDS can be checked out for 2 days
If a library item is damaged or lost, please call or stop by the library. We will not charge a replacement fee greater than the price of the book. Late fees are 25¢ a day.
Interlibrary Loan Policy
If the item you want is not available in the library catalog, it may be borrowed through the library’s interlibrary loan service.
Notes
- Any patron with a valid library card in good standing may request materials through interlibrary loan.
- There is no fee for interlibrary loans.
- You will be notified when the item is ready for you to pick up at the library.
- Items on Hold Shelf will expire after 10 days.
- If an interlibrary loan item is not returned or returned damaged there will be a fee of the price of the book plus fees the lending library may charge.
- The average turnaround time for an interlibrary loan request is about 2-3 weeks, but it could be longer depending on the availability of the item.
- Some requests may go unfilled because the lender cannot provide the item. The patron will be notified.
- Interlibrary loan materials need to be returned to Bowling Green Public Library.

Your entire library card number is your username, the last five digits of your card number is your PIN.
To search just our local library, keep "Bowling Green" listed as the library. If you would like to search all available libraries, change this to the first option, "Missouri Evergreen."
